my name is Dex. I was rescued as a puppy by Valley Dogs (see my
cute pictures below). I was quite malnourished but now you can
see I am quite healthy! I have a beautiful smile (especially
with that undershot jaw) and a great profile (with my docked
tail). So, I have a lot of the boxer traits but the lab appears
to have taken over the rest of my physique.
Today I am a gentle boy who just
loves humans and all I want to do is please you. I have grown up
with children and other dogs. I do not like it if other dogs act
aggressive or are pushy. Also I really like to chase the
birds. Sometimes I catch them. So, if you have birds as pets I
might not make a good addition. Because of my attraction to
birds I was returned to Valley Dogs.
Currently I need a foster
home. I just had surgery on my knee to repair an old
injury that my previous owner did not take care of. The repair
was done by one of the nations best orthopedic surgeons so, in a
few months I will be better than new. Can you help me recover? I
need a home that will allow me to rest and go through my
exercises as prescribed by the vet. Or would you like to just
take me home and let me love on you?
